What is it about junior high football coaches that stick in our memories more than our high school football coaches?

Maybe it's the fact that all those crass sayings and expressions were first introduced to us by our junior high football coaches.

You know what I'm talking about, those statements from your drill sergeant-like head coach that had something to do with 'horseshoes and hand grenades' and what excuses were like.
