Brown battling injuries, pledges to fight on
MORGANTOWN-In separate interviews Tuesday night Bill Stewart, Jeff Mullen and Jarrett Brown admitted that the offense is struggling. The 23rd-ranked Mountaineers (7-2, 2-1) travel to 5th-ranked Cincinnati (9-0, 5-0) Friday night, their Big East championship hopes on the line.
"We've just got to start scoring some points," Brown said empathetically during his portion of a Day of Interviews.
"Jarrett has been a different quarterback since the Marshall game," Mullen, the offensive coordinator said earlier. Asked to define "different," the assistant said, "It's one thing when after four games you are leading the nation or close to leading the nation in several statistical categories to kind of struggling."
