It didn't take Tucker's Chris Sanders long to give Georgia head coach Mark Richt the official news.
After receiving an offer from the Bulldogs earlier this week, the 6-foot-1, 185-pounder, who is listed as an "athlete" by Rivals.com, said yes to Richt Saturday, becoming Georgia's first verbal commitment for next year.
"I got a chance to meet the new defensive coordinator, and he seems like a really cool guy. Coach Todd Grantham, Coach Scott Lakatos, and Coach Rodney Garner were there," Sanders told UGASports a few days ago. "They told my coach they really liked me and thought I could be a big time player for them."
Apparently, Sanders feels he's a fit as well.
"I think they (the coaches) are going to gel together really well, and I think they are going to have a really good coaching staff," he said. "Coach Grantham told me later when I called him that the one reason he wanted to coach at Georgia was because of all the talent that is in the state. It is going to be really cool for him here."
Sanders chose the Bulldogs over West Virginia, Vanderbilt, Duke and Vanderbilt, although he believed Alabama was on the verge of offering as well.
Tucker teammate James Vaughters and Justin Garrett also have offers from the Bulldogs as well.
