Anaheim (Calif.) junior tight end Troy Niklas was offered a scholarship by Ed Orgeron as a sophomore.

That was when Orgeron, coaching at Tennessee, wanted to make a splash in Southern California's deep talent pool. Now at the University of Southern California, Orgeron and the Trojans have a legitimate shot at landing Niklas.

However, at this point, Niklas' scholarship offer from the Volunteers has not carried over to USC.
