Bruins end with a wimper
Arizona State (22-9, Pac 10 12-6) jumped out to 13-0 lead before UCLA (13-17, Pac 10 8-10) finally found the scoreboard when Tyler Honeycutt momentarily stopped the bleeding with a nice move to the rack that allowed him to slam dunk. Unfortunately for the Bruins they were never able to get closer than five points as the Sun Devils had complete control of this contest.
The Sun Devils were led with a career game turned in by senior center Eric Boateng who ended up with 16 points, a career best 14 rebounds, four blocked shots and even chipped in three assists.
Boateng really made his presence felt when the Bruins were trying to get back in the game and he refused to let that happen. During that span, Boateng collected two offensive rebounds on one possession, blocked two shots and had two of his 16 points.
