Johnson looking sharp this spring
It looked last season like wide receiver Jerry Johnson was about to be the forgotten man among a very talented receiver group. Many would hang their heads and quit, but that's not Johnson. Instead of moping about his fate, he kept a belief in his abilities and went to work. He worked incredibly hard in the offseason and it has paid off as he is having a very good spring.
"I was just working hard with numerous people and doing a lot of my own stuff," Johnson said about his offseason workouts. "I was working on my end routes, comebacks; all the things that I had problems with last spring and focusing on my hunger and I have been hungry this spring.
"I'm trying to earn a starting spot," Johnson said. "I'm doing what it takes to start."
Johnson's hard work is paying off.
