Suttons Bay guard Dwaun Anderson reflects on title run
Considered one of the top 2011 prospects in the state of Michigan , Dwaun Anderson put together a stellar season to guide Suttons Bay all the way to t he championship game. After a successful season that ended just short, Anderson reflected on the historic run for his school and shared his plans with us for the upcoming summer.
"We had a good run but it didn't end the way we wanted," said Anderson. "I wish we could have played harder as a team collectively in the title game but we made history for the school."
After a big year that saw Anderson average 22 points a game, he is now looking to take his game to higher level after switching AAU teams.
"I'm playing with the Michigan Mustangs this year and we're looking pretty good," said Anderson. "We have a tournament at Oakland this weekend and I'm just ready to go out and play".
After making a deep run and putting up solid numbers a lot of schools have taken more attention and Dwaun has all but shed the sleeper label. Now he is just sitting back and enjoying the experience, but also weighing his options.
"Right now I have Michigan, Michigan State, Central Michigan, Oakland and Dayton on my list. I like all these schools because they have nice campuses and they're places that I can fit in at as well" added Anderson.
Although the recruiting situation is relatively new to Anderson, he'll get used to it, especially if he has another season like the one he had this year.
"The experience of recruiting has been great, it all came at me at once, but if feels good to be wanted."
Currently, the 6-foot-4 Anderson holds offers from CMU, Oakland, Dayton, and Utah.
