Schlachter may favor staying in-state
Unlike last season, the Wisconsin coaching staff has elected to forego having two junior days - one for in-state and one for national prospects - in favor of multiple smaller gatherings during the season in order to get the more recruits on campus.
Last week was an example of that approach as the Badgers hosted an estimated group of seven or eight juniors from the Michigan and Ohio area, a cast that included 6-foot-6, 285-pound offensive tackle Jalen Schlachter.
