Izzo adds super athlete to 2011 class
Michigan State coach Tom Izzo and his top assistant Mark Montgomery were both in the Northern Michigan town of Sutton's Bay to watch 2011 wing Dwaun Anderson work out two weeks ago.
The Spartan coaches walked away impressed with the 6-foot-4 175-pound athlete and they asked him an his family to come down to East Lansing for an unofficial visit this week.
Anderson traveled to Michigan State on Wednesday. He was offered a scholarship by Izzo and committed during his visit.
SpartanMag.com was unable to confirm the news with Anderson directly as the Sutton's Bay wing was still touring the Spartan campus at the time of his commitment. But we did talk to Michigan Mustangs president Norm Oden, who spoke with both Dwaun Anderson and his uncle Ron Anderson who confirmed the commitment.
