Intangibles, toughness sell the Spartans on Trice Jr.
Michigan State has wanted to sign a point guard in their 2011 class for some time. After the Spartans cooled on some of the prospects they had targeted during the spring, the Spartans used the month of July to evaluate and pursue 5-foot-11 Huber Heights point guard Travis Trice Jr.
Trice is the final piece in an outstanding recruiting class that includes in-state wings Brandan Kearney and Dwaun Anderson, as well as Trice's summer teammate Branden Dawson.
Trice committed to the Spartans in the parking lot outside the hotel he and his family stayed at while on an unofficial visit to East Lansing Wednesday.
