When Florida finished the 2009 season with a disappointing loss to Alabama in the SEC Championship Game, missing out on a trip to the BCS National Title Game in the process, there wasn't a lot to be excited about for Gator fans.

In the following weeks, Florida got great news when starting right guard Mike Pouncey decided not to follow his brother Maurkice's footsteps and enter the NFL Draft a year early.
