Auburn preview

BulldogBlitz.com Mississippi State will face its first test of the season tonight taking on Auburn just five days into the 2010 campaign.
The Bulldogs are anticipating a sellout crowd at Davis Wade Stadium when the two SEC West rivals collide at 6:30 p.m. in front of a national television audience.
Auburn leads the all-time series 58-23-2 and also the series in Starkville with a 11-4-1 advantage. The Tigers have also taken the last two games in the series winning 49-24 last season on the Plains and 3-2 in 2008.
Auburn accumulated 589 yards of offense in the game last year racking up 390 of it on the ground and had two backs eclipse the 100-yard plataeu. The Bulldogs finished the game with 297 yards led by Anthony Dixon's 20 carry, 92-yard, one touchdown effort.
MSU enters tonight's game off a stellar season opening win over Memphis 49-7. The Bulldogs stacked up 569 yards against the Tigers and lead the SEC in passing offense with 372 yards a game.
