Hammond scores key TD in return to field

InsidetheGators.com Frankie Hammond Jr. made only one reception in Florida's 31-17 win Saturday over Tennessee at Neyland Stadium, and it didn't cover much ground. But for Hammond, a 7-yard catch never felt so good. It didn't just cap a 10-play 65-yard drive, didn't just get Florida into the end zone, didn't just give the Gators a 17-10 third-quarter lead. No, this play was far more meaningful than that. For Hammond, a sophomore receiver who missed Florida's first two games as part of a suspension resulting from his DUI arrest this summer, it was a return to normalcy. "It's a relief," Hammond said after the game.
