USCFootball.com Anaheim (Calif.) tight end Troy Niklas is no longer a tight end. At least, he no longer is playing tight end for Servite High School.
For his senior season the 6-foot-7, 255-pound four-star recruit is headed back to the offensive line. That is, headed back to where he started his high school football career.
Niklas played offensive tackle during his first two years at Servite. As a junior, he moved to tight end to give the Friars a big target in the passing game. Although his season was cut short by a concussion, Niklas was named first team all league; earned scholarship offers from Notre Dame, Stanford, Florida, Colorado, Cal, Oregon, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Tennessee as a tight end.
