Jet Ski takes the lead
UCLA sophomore running back, Johnathan Franklin gained 158 yards and scored three touchdowns while averaging 6.1 yards per carry in a breakout performance against Houston last week. Though the odds are Franklin will have a tougher time toting the rock against this week's opponent the Texas Longhorns, a team that is currently No. 1 against the run.
Franklin, also known as "Jet Ski", was one of the reasons that UCLA had a different attitude last week against Houston and will be the reason if that tough attitude continues this week when the Bruins line up against Longhorns in Austin on Saturday.
The talented running back spoke to the media recently after Saturday's victory.
Franklin: "Coach Neuheisel always preaches to be relentlessly positive so we just stayed strong and kept our head up and strength is built through adversity so we understood. Our slow start may be a blessing in disguise in my opinion."
