BERKELEY-The first thing I notice about Markhuri Sanders-Frison after he springs out of his conditioning session inside the Mary and Frank J. Schlessinger Weight Training Room-aside from the sheen of sweat-is that his shirt hangs off of his shoulders.

Funny thing to notice, but for all of last year, midway his broad shoulders and tree-trunk legs, there was a big old belly sticking out, even in a loose basketball jersey. Not anymore. This is MSF 2.0. Dare I say, the big man looks downright svelte.
