UF-LSU: 10 Gator questions
How healthy is John Brantley, can Florida slow down LSU punt returner Patrick Peterson and will the Gators be able to run the ball against the Tigers? These are just some of the questions that will face Florida when it faces unbeaten LSU on Saturday night at the Swamp.
1. How healthy is Florida quarterback John Brantley? The redshirt junior hurt his ribs last week at Alabama after getting sandwiched by two defenders in the fourth quarter. He was limited at practice this week (Gator head coach Urban Meyer said others came in to throw for him at times), but is said to be feeling much better. Nonetheless, one has to wonder if and how much the injury will affect him Saturday night. The truth is, Brantley's stats aren't that great. Despite that, he's still Florida's best option at quarterback, and if he isn't at full strength that's probably not a good thing for an already inconsistent Florida offense.
