Two QB system keys UF win
Maybe two quarterbacks are better than one. Florida's football team proved as much Saturday, using the dashing running of Trey Burton and the precise passing of John Brantley to topple rival Georgia.
Burton rushed for 110 yards on 17 carries and scored two touchdowns; and Brantley completed 16 of 25 passes for 193 yards as Florida amassed 450 yards before prevailing in the overtime win, thanks to its versatility at the quarterback position.
"I could kick myself for not doing more of that this summer," Florida coach Urban Meyer said. "I didn't. I didn't know Trey Burton was that good of a runner. He's pretty good, he's dynamic. I thought Jordan Reed did a nice job. He came in and gave us a couple plus-yardage plays. We're going to do more of that. We've got to find that edge. Florida's always had that edge. In 2005 we didn't have one.
