Rivals100 DE considering Ducks
The Oregon Ducks traveled to the Coliseum in Los Angeles last month to face the Trojans of USC and there were several high profile recruits on hand to witness Oregon's domininating performance. Oregon regained the attention of one recruit in particular in Greg Townsend Jr.
Townsend has long been rumored to be headed to USC although he has yet to state that publicly. At 6-foot-4 and 242 pounds Townsend is one of the top rated defensive ends in the country. He dominated this past summer on the camp circuit and was awarded the LA Nike Camp MVP. Since then Townsend has been relatively quite on his recruitment and has been focused primarily on his season. Duck Sports Authority recently caught up with Townsend to see how his recruitment is going and where the Ducks stand.
"Right now recruiting is going ok. My top schools are USC, Washington, Oregon, TCU, Miami, LSU and that's pretty much my top right there," said Townsend.
"I took my SATs late so I'm taking all of my officials late. Hopefully my scores come in this week so I can set up some visits."
