E.J. Manuel wasted little time asserting his presence Saturday night.



On Florida State's first offensive play against Clemson, Manuel faked a handoff, pulled back, and found Rodney Smith in stride for a 53-yard completion. It was FSU's longest completion of the season, and a sign of things to come … eventually.



The Seminoles' offense struggled through the first half, but with the game on the line, Manuel, making his fifth career start, manufactured the plays FSU needed - both to get back into the game and then later to win it 16-13.
