He thundered up and down the court far too many times for the casual observer to keep count with those gazelle-like strides that appeared to be a long jump's length to neighboring teammates. During a moment of pause, while others hunkered over their knees, the 7-footer breathlessly reached up and seized the net with both hands for support while heels remained pinned to the ground.
