Gross commits to Memphis
Bryan Moss
TigerSportsReport.com Memphis University received a big time commitment from a local 3 star prospect.
William Gross, 6-foot-1 170 lbs, called Tiger Head Coach Larry Porter and gave him the good news.
"I called Coach Porter and told him I was ready to commit."
Gross chose Memphis over Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Louisville.
"I feel Memphis was missing a quarterback and I'm going to be that missing piece to turn this program around," Gross said.
He will now turn his attention on being a recruiter.
"It is my job to get some players to come with me. My heart is in Memphis and I will get kids to come play with me."
Rivals.com has Gross as the 22nd best dual-threat quarterback and ranked 20th best prospect in the state of Tennessee.
