Another OL down
Backup offensive lineman Austin Long has contacted mononucleosis, according to published reports.
A source later confirmed the same in a text to UGASports.
At 6-foot-5 and 304 pounds, the redshirt sophomore is expected to miss two weeks but be back in time for the season-opener against Boise State.
Long's illness marks the second straight year that a Bulldog offensive lineman came down with mono, after senior Cordy Glenn contacted the illness during preseason in 2010. Glenn did not miss any time and played in all 13 of Georgia's games.
When healthy, Long is expected to battle for playing time at right tackle and possibly guard for the Bulldogs this fall.
