Farmer close to an offer
The 2013 class for basketball had a few visitors last week for Midnight Madness, but there is one player on the verge of a Syracuse offer who was not in the crowd. That player is Cleveland, Ohio's Tony Farmer.
The 6-foot-7, 220 pound forward does not hold an offer from the Orange, but thinks one could be on the way soon.
"Syracuse is looking at me." Farmer said. "They have not offered yet, but they have talked about it."
Even though he does not have an offer at this time he likes a couple items that the Orange and what they have to offer.
"Syracuse, as a hoops program, they're one of the best and they will always be in a tough conference.
"The chance to play basketball for Jim Boeheim would be a GREAT experience and an honor."
Right now it is in the early stages of the recruiting process for the class of 2013, but some players have favorites right now. Does Farmer?
"Not really. Right now everybody is even."
Along with interest from Syracuse Farmer already has offers from Cincinnati, Michigan State, Wisconsin, and West Virginia.
