The Oregon game in a nutshell
There were two, and it's hard to pick one as being more important than the other. The first came after Oregon's Garrett Sim hit a free throw with 3:17 left in the first half to put the Ducks up 29-26. Vanderbilt's Kedren Johnson answered with a lay-up, and Jeffery Taylor hit a pair of foul shots to put VU up one. John Jenkins hit a 3 at the 1:04 mark.
The Commodores continued the run after the break, posting 18 points in a row and led 44-29 with 18:02 left in the game.
Oregon, though, fought back, with Brett Kingma (a freshman whom Vanderbilt offered a scholarship) twice hitting shots to cut the margin to five. The second came when Kingma hit a long two-pointer from the right corner with 5:09 left, but Taylor hit his own miss, then hit a jumper on Vandy's next possession to put the 'Dores up nine.
