Bulldogs bowl over Ole Miss
STARKVILLE, Miss., - Saturday night was one of celebration for Mississippi State.
Not only did the Bulldogs destroy instate rival Ole Miss for the third consecutive season 31-3 but they also became bowl eligible for the second straight year.
"Obviously it was a great win," said MSU head coach Dan Mullen. "I'm really proud of our guys and the way they battled and fought. Three straight Egg Bowl Championships is something special. I'm really proud of how since we got here, everybody has bought into what we're trying to do. It's great for our seniors to go out that way and great for our young guys. They know how important it is for us and how important it is for our fans and the people of the state of Mississippi. I'm proud of the direction that the program is going."
MSU jumped out to a commanding three touchdown lead in the first half and never looked back amassing 317 yards on offense - 247 of which came on the ground.
