The waters here have, at least temporarily, been calmed. Bill Snyder would be proud. As Kansas State began its preparation for Texas on Monday and Tuesday, all was quiet on the stairs surrounding the hardwood at Bramlage Coliseum. No footsteps and no heavy breathing were heard in the bleachers. Instead, all of that took place on the court. The sounds of rubber soles on concrete steps had finally been muffled.
