Wildcats missing their shooting mark
The ball felt good and it looked good as it left the hands of Kansas State junior guard Rodney McGruder just before the final buzzer on Saturday. McGruder had hit 13 3-pointers against Big 12 Conference opponents. Only 11 players had hit more. But when his final attempt clanked off the back of the rim in a 63-60 loss to Oklahoma, it concluded the Wildcats' poorest stretch of 3-point shooting over a three-game span in more than five seasons.
