Nice and Easy
The great ones make it look easy. It is far too soon to call Dorial Green-Beckham a great one. But there is no arguing that the freshman made his first career touchdown look easy.
Green-Beckham brought in a pass that was thrown slightly behind him just short of midfield on Saturday against Central Florida. He shook a Knights' defender off his right hip and stared at 50 yards of open field.
"I thought, it's a race to the goal line. The fastest guy on the field, who's going to be that guy to come get me?" Green-Beckham said. "I can't get caught from behind. I just got to push through it and make it to the end zone."
Getting caught from behind isn't something the freshman from Springfield has had to worry about too much in his career. And it wasn't much of a concern on Saturday either. As he glided the final 50 yards to six points, UCF defenders faded further and further away.
"That was a glimpse of what we have," Gary Pinkel said.
