Mississippi State seeks to bounce back from two straight sub-par performances this week.
But for the 22nd-ranked Bulldogs to get back to their winning ways they will have to do so in one of the toughest environments in all of college football. MSU travels under the lights of Tiger Stadium taking on No. 9 LSU at 6 p.m.
The series has not been kind to the Bulldogs of late having lost 12 straight. LSU leads 69-33-3 all-time including holding a 46-18-1 record in Baton Rouge.
The Tigers claimed last year's matchup 19-6 in Starkville. LSU held a 6-3 lead at halftime and the score remained tight at 9-6 heading into the final quarter. Jarrett Lee connected with Rueben Randle on a 19-yard scoring strike for the game's only touchdown early in the fourth quarter.
Last week State was handled at home by Texas A&M 38-13. The Aggies' potent offense rolled up 693 total yards and scored six touchdowns.
