Saturday's game seemed to be the perfect storm.

A south wind ripped through the South Plains and a beautiful morning gave way to a dusty sky. Speaking of morning, the Kansas game kicked off at 11 a.m., and there might have been a post-Texas game hangover looming over the Red Raiders.

Nevertheless the Red Raiders battled the elements, a scrappy Jayhawks team and themselves to a 41-34 double overtime victory Saturday in Lubbock.
