Like others, Skipper waiting things out
With each day that Tennessee remains without a head football coach more programs are making a play for Vol commitment Dan Skipper. Ole Miss and Michigan both offered this past week and Stanford is making a strong push. But does the tall, athletic Colorado lineman still consider himself a Tennessee commitment?
"I do for now," Skipper said. "I want to see who they hire and everything as far as that goes. Until then it's hard to make a definite decision."
Skipper wasn't surprised when Derek Dooley was let go two weeks ago and he's tried to stay on top of the search for a new Tennessee head coach.
"I was following it quite a bit," Skipper said. "I'm not following it now though because there are so many names being thrown out. I think most of the names are hogwash. The athletic director called me this week and he said he would call me when they made a hire and that coach would be out to see me."
