Tech wraps up 8-5 season

RedRaiderSports.com HOUSTON - It wasn't pretty. It wasn't even close to pretty. But the Red Raiders gutted out a 34-31 win Friday against Minnesota in the Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas to wrap up the 2012 season at 8-5.
The score was a surprise. The Red Raiders were a double-digit favorite and needed a last second 28-yard field goal from Ryan Bustin as ugly as Alabama's field goal in the 2005 Cotton Bowl to put away the Golden Gophers.
Tech got it done though and avoided a fourth overtime game in 2012.
