Verdell Jones, the 6-foot-2, 130-pound point guard from Central High School in Champaign, Ill., was more than impressed with what he saw on Sunday afternoon. Jones and his father, Verdell Jones, Sr., were on hand to watch the Kansas Jayhawks erase a 16-point deficit and defeat the Oklahoma Sooner. For Jones and his father, it was their second trip to Lawrence this season.
