Clemson has picked up its fifth verbal commitment from a junior in Greenville offensive lineman David Smith. The 6-foot-5, 280-pound tackle was first offered by Clemson last November while on an unofficial visit. But Monday night, the blue-chip trenchman decided to end the recruiting process early. Smith's pledge is the second for Clemson from an offensive lineman in a year where taking four, possibly five is likely.
