Orange & Blue Recruiting Notebook
It started out as a great day to have prospects out at the Swamp as well over 40 thousand Gator fans showed up for the Orange & Blue game. Standing on the sidelines, the prospects were impressed with the crowd doing the Go Gators cheer at the beginning of the game.
Getting that type of turnout and enthusiasm from the crowd for a spring game plays no small part in the recruiting process. It definitely makes it much easier for the coaches.
We have already discussed and broken the commitments of Sidell Corley and Aaron Hernandez as well as Michael McNeil.
There were plenty of other prospect, signees and former players on the sidelines. The two biggest stars seemed to be Channing Crowder (who spent most of his time signing autographs) and Danny Wuerffel. Isreal Troupe in particular was in awe of the former Heisman Trophy.
