Spring review: QBs improved, but have work to do

CaneSport.com How quarterbacks Kyle Wright and Kirby Freeman responded to an offense that focused on quicker reads and throws was a major issue this spring.
And coaches say both showed they are on their way to having a good grasp on what UM will be running this fall, although quarterbacks coach Todd Berry say they both have plenty remaining to work on this off-season.
A big focus early in the spring was getting the QB's to throw to spots instead of to where a receiver was, even if that receiver wasn't running the correct route. That was a problem that was rectified by the end of spring.
