Ole Miss commit named MVP of Nike Camp
Going up against some of the best of the best talent in the Southeast, future Ole Miss commit Drake Nevis of John Ehret High School came away with the defensive MVP of the day at the Nike Camp held in Baton Rouge Sunday.
With more than 300 hundred athletes in attendance, two of Ole Miss commits were present and turned in good showings. Nevis along with O.P. Walker's Alex Williams were among over 75 participants who either have an Ole Miss offer or interest in the Rebels.
"I was kind of surprised about being named MVP," Nevis said Sunday night. "It felt good to go out and compete against some of the best in the country. It was a very impressive camp and the amount of talent there surprised me. I'm very glad that my parents and I decided that the Nike Camp was the best one for me. I got the opportunity to compete against some of the best players in Louisiana and surrounding states."
