McNutt adds two more offers
Missouri quarterback Marvin McNutt received two new scholarship offers this week, bringing his total up to six this spring.
The six schools currently on board with the 6-foot-3, 180-pound quarterback are Iowa, Missouri, Indiana, Kansas, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, although the offer from the Golden Gophers is only a verbal one right now. McNutt is also hearing from Nebraska, Kansas State, and Michigan State, among others.
As a junior, McNutt was not named the starting quarterback at Hazelwood Central until midway through the 2005 season. After taking over the reigns, he completed 79 of 157 passes for 1,239 yards and 12 touchdowns in leading the team to the Missouri Class 6A state championship game. In the game, which was played in the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, McNutt threw for 313 yards and three touchdowns in a 38-24 loss to DeSmet.
