Scott Moskovitz
BlueWhiteIllustrated.com Coatesville, Pa. defensive end Derrick Morgan (6-4, 260) spoke with BWI Monday night about his recruitment.
Here are some of the questions and answers from the interview:
BWI: How many offers do you have and who were the latest schools to offer you?
Morgan: "I have 19-20 offers. The latest were from Michigan, Maryland and Cincinnati. Miami also called and I talked to Coach [Larry] Coker."
BWI: Do you have any schools that stand out at this point?
Morgan: "There are some schools that I'm more interested in, but I'm going to announce them at the beginning of the summer."
BWI: What schools have you been to thus far?
Morgan: "I've been to Penn State and Syracuse. I'm planning to go to Pitt in June. I'm also going to the N.C. State and Penn State camps."
BWI: What are the most important things you are looking for in a school?
Morgan: "The first thing is the academics and how much my degree is going to matter. Then, it's hard to make an impact early, but I want to make an impact in my first year."
BWI: Do you think your style of play is comparable to anyone?
Morgan: "I don't try to copycat anybody's style. I just try to create my own style of play."
