Linthicum reels in Cal offer

GoldenBearReport.com Numerous out-of-state prospects in the 2007 class are not only being actively recruited by the University of California but have received offers.
One such player is Charlottesville, Va., St. Anne's-Belfield tight end Brian Linthicum, a 6-foot-5, 225-pound two-way star. BearTerritory spoke with Linthicum to get the latest on his recruiting.
The verbal offer from Cal certainly surprised Linthicum.
"Yes, I was definitely surprised." Linthicum said. "I made a highlight tape and submitted most of the copies to east coast schools but a few made it out west as well. I spoke with Cal on Monday, and they offered me. They told me a written offer would be sent out shortly as well."
