Four-star safety visits Clemson Friday
Following his performance at the Clemson NIKE Camp on May 21, Garner, N.C., defensive back Chris Culliver became a household name. The 6-foot, 190-pounder ran a documented 4.38 40, and turned heads with his athletic ability and timing during one-on-one drills.
The N.C. State soft commit has since reopened his recruiting, as offers have come in from Clemson, Alabama, Florida and on Friday Florida State.
"Coming down to Clemson today on the car ride, I talked to coach (John) Lilly and he told me he knew I was opening up my recruiting again," Culliver said. "He said that's why they didn't offer me to begin with, but that I had an offer now. I told him I was interested in Florida State and that I would like to take a visit there."
Culliver, originally from Pensacola, Fla., said he has interest in all three major Florida programs.
