Pugh becomes newest Auburn commitment
Hoover, Ala., High School offensive lineman Ryan Pugh has grown up dreaming of playing college football at Auburn.
Now, the 6-foot-2, 275-pounder is one step closer to making it reality.
Pugh, a four-star prospect and the nation's No. 3 center according to Rivals.com, announced Thursday morning his intentions of signing with Auburn in February.
The rising senior, who is Auburn's eighth verbal commitment of the 2007 class, selected the Tigers after narrowing down his list to Auburn, LSU, Tennessee and Clemson.
"Auburn is where I've wanted to play since I was a little kid. But I wanted to go out and visit other colleges and see if there was a place that fit me better than Auburn," he said. "Not discrediting other schools, but Auburn was just the best fit for me.
"It feels great to know I'm going to be playing for Auburn. You always grow up a fan, go to the games and everything, but not many get to experience it. I just have to take advantage of it and live out my dreams."
