Fleming checks out NC State
Matt Carter
TheWolfpacker.com Highland Springs, Va., High has one of the best cornerback tandems in high school football in C.J. Fleming and Cris Hill. Fleming, 5-foot-11, 165 pounds, recently visited NC State, and The Wolfpacker talked with C.J.'s brother Larry about the trip.
"He definitely said he liked it," Larry Fleming said. "He was down there and the majority of the time he was with the defensive coordinator."
Fleming is being recruited by defensive coordinator Steve Dunlap for NC State. As a junior Fleming picked off seven passes, helping him earn offers from Georgia, Maryland, UNC, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest among others. NC State has not been his only trip.
"I think he visited Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina," Larry Fleming said. "I think that may be it."
Highland Springs coach Scott Burton has expressed a desire for Fleming to make a decision before the senior season starts.
