NU in mix for Yandell

WildcatReport.com Just before leaving the office on June 29, Northwestern head coach Randy Walker decided to offer a scholarship to St. Augustine (FL) Nease offensive tackle Clyde Yandell. Walker had just seen Yandell's film for the first time and decided to move quickly and make an offer to the 6-foot-5, 305-pounder.
Sadly, that turned out to be one of the last things Walker would do as the head coach of the Wildcats because later that night he died of an apparent heart attack.
Yandell currently has more than 20 offers, including ones from SEC powerhouses Florida, Auburn and Tennessee. But while he has yet to pare down his list of schools, he said that Northwestern is definitely in the mix.
