Campbell is content
This summer Norco, Calif., linebacker Jordan Campbell attended almost every combine and camp imaginable.
But according to Campbell, the scouts and college coaches haven't seen anything yet. Although the 5-foot-11, 225-pound Inland Valley star excelled playing fullback at USC's Rising Senior Camp, he hopes to change the Trojans perception of his game this fall.
After putting up 135 tackles as a junior, Campbell has become defensive about what position he plays in college - figuratively speaking. The All-CIF selection sees himself making hits and rather than taking hits at the next level.
That's where he and USC have a difference of opinion.
"I went down to USC last week to talk with coach (David) Watson," said Campbell. "My offer from SC is official, I just have to decide whether or not to accept it. I still have to find out if they want me to play offense, or whether they'll give me a chance to play defense. Right now, SC is the only team to offer me as a running back."
