Cobb: 'I'm ready'

Running back Antwan Cobb was one of 10 Longhorns to participate in this week's THSCA all-star game, and the 2006 Longhorn pledge represented Texas well, scoring the game's first touchdown.

We talked with Cobb before the game to get his thoughts on being a member of the all-star squad, and to get an update on his first two months as a member of the Longhorn program:

On his experience at the THSCA all-star game:

It's going well. It's been a good opportunity to play with a bunch of good players. Plus we have a lot of UT players out here so it's been a good opportunity to get some chemistry with these guys.

On how his first two months at UT have gone and what he's focused on:

It's all school. You have to get those early credits so that's the main thing. And then just knowing which position I'm going to be playing. I've been practicing at both (running back and linebacker) during the summer.

On his contact with the coaches and what they've told him about his future position:

Mack said he doesn't know until two-a-days come around so I'm going to let him be the judge of that. I'm just going to play where they put me.
