Brothers In Arms -- Part II
Josh Beekman, like Marten, is a 5th year senior and returning starter. One of only two on the line that is in the same position he was last year, Beekman understands the weight on his massive shoulders. What does it mean to Beekman to be an integral part of O-Line University?
"It was part of the reason I came here. I knew all about it coming out of high school and it definitely played a part in my decision. For me personally, I don't feel 'pressure' as a result of that nickname but you do feel the necessity to perform with excellence and if the chain remains strong, then we are all the better.
"I definitely feel the strength of our forefathers and we want to be as good, if not better than them. We have had a lot of great guys that have come through here and they do come back to talk to us about what it means to be part of this brotherhood and what we represent but again, if we do our job, we'll be fine.
