AM practice impressive
There was a pretty good crowd today to watch the Bruins practice in pads for their second day. It was good to see UCLA's four-star defensive tackle commit, Brian Price, (also known as "the Beast") from Los Angeles (Calif.) Crenshaw for the second day in a row showing his future team love and support.
Junior running back Derrick Williams has had an excellent camp thus far and had his best practice of camp during the morning session. He broke two nice runs when the Bruins were doing 11-on-11 running drill and broke another one in a later 11-on-11 drill.
The defensive line continues to improve. Kevin Brown had his best practice of the camp and showed flashes of what the Bruins were missing a year ago. He was overpowering and very explosive today.
If Brown plays like he did in the morning practice look for him to be highly honored in the post season.
Junior linebacker Aaron Whittington continues to impress. He's making plays and his tackling has been picture perfect thus far.
Though Coach Karl Dorrell isn't naming a starting defensive line but the group of Brown, Justin Hickman, Brigham Harwell and Bruce Davis looked very good as an unit this morning.
