Tuesday AM Quick Hits
*Alabama started its second two-a-day of fall camp by working out in shells this morning. The Crimson Tide will practice again tonight at 7:30.
*UA head coach Mike Shula described the practice as being "good, but not great." He did praise the veteran players for helping push the younger players through a workout that came on the heels of a 116-play scrimmage.
*Wide receiver Keith Brown and halfback Ali Sharrief returned to practice this morning. Wearing aorange were: Jamie Christensen (groin), Wallace Gilberry (shoulder), Brandon Fanney (shoulder), Roy Upchurch (leg), Mike Johnson (ankle), Scott Deaton (head), Demarcus Waldrop (hamstring), [db]B.J. Stabler (knee) and Aaron McDaniel (leg). After injuring his left knee in yesterday's scrimmage, halfback Glen Coffee was scheduled to undergo an MRI today. Shula said the results would likely be known later today. He added that Stabler and Gilberry both might be back for tonight's practice and that hoped Christensen would be able to return later in the week.
*Scrimmage standouts: Shula pointed out the following offensive players when talking about yesterday's scrimmage: offensive linemen Marlon Davis, Antoine Caldwell, Chris Capps, Justin Britt and Andre Smith and tight end Travis McCall. On defense, Shula noted the play of defensive backs Ramzee Robinson, [db]Jeffrey Dukes, Marcus Carter and Chris Rogers, in addition to linebacker Terrence Jones (who Shula said graded out the highest among the linebackers) and defensive linemen Jeremy Clark and Brandon Deaderick.
